Joplin is an open-source, cross-platform note-taking and task management application. Users can capture notes (text, images, audio, PDFs) and organize them into notebooks and to-do lists. Data can be synchronized across devices using Joplin Cloud (a service based in France) or other storage (Dropbox, OneDrive). All notes are stored in open formats and can be secured with end-to-end encryption for privacy. Joplin Cloud data is hosted in France under EU privacy laws.
