metaGer is an open-source metasearch engine developed by SUMA-EV, a German NGO. It aggregates search results from multiple providers to protect against censorship, and it is offered ad-free. An anonymizing proxy hides users’ identities, so queries are not tracked. All of metaGer’s services run on renewable energy. The project’s algorithms and source code are fully transparent.
