TeleGuard is a secure messaging service developed in Switzerland. It encrypts every message and call with the SALSA20 algorithm and runs on servers located in Switzerland, making it GDPR-compliant and outside US/EU jurisdiction. The service does not require any phone number or user ID, so users remain anonymous. TeleGuard collects no user metadata or IP addresses (messages are stored only until delivery). The messenger is provided free of charge and is funded by the Swiss search engine Swisscows (via donations). It is explicitly promoted as a privacy-first messenger with no advertisements or tracking.
